MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Los Ancianos Tecate Enduro will be December 2, 2017
We're looking at the same general format as last year's successful event with a few changes. Look for updates as decisions are made, who knows? Maybe a remote lunch/pit location (really remote) definitely lots of new/resurrected trails. #clubnews ... Show MoreShow Less

With great sorrow we mourn the loss of our friend Joaquin "Boyo" Candia. A kind, good natured, gentle soul of a man, inseparable from his father Joaquin, impeccable rider, and joy to his mother Maria, sister Laura and little nephews. We love you forever. Ride in Peace, until we see you at the campfire. Vaya con Dios.
Boyo was a second generation Anciano who rode with us from his early years. He and his dad were always riding together, doing whatever they could to help on any club project, ride or race. He was a joker, always with a quick smile and laugh. He left us way too early and we will miss him. #clubnews ... Show MoreShow Less

Justin Morgan, Tecate Enduro and Baja racer is going to the ISDE! If you would like to help out you can make donations via PayPal. A special ISDE Paypal account has been set up for Justin and any and all donations can be made through Paypal at email@example.com (make sure and select “Send money to family and friends” from your Paypal account).
There other fund raiser things in the works as well. There will be a T-Shirt especially for Justin's ISDE effort and there may be a ride type event and a raffle with lots of goodies. He's not only a fast guy, he's also a genuine nice guy who deserves a little help to represent the USA at this year's ISDE in France. #clubnews ... Show MoreShow Less

Roland Reed attended his last meeting of the Los Ancianos Motorcycle Club earlier this month. Cancer took him from us last week. Roland had been an active member of the club since 1966 – over 50 years of solid contributions to the Los Ancianos, dirt bikes, and Baja adventures.
Along the way he owned and operated Lemon Grove Honda, raced Baja, was the co-founder of Maxima Oils, sponsored racers like Bill Silverthorn and Gene Fetty, and that is just the moto part of his legacy. He was still riding into his early 80s and remains an inspiration and example to all of us.
Roland didn’t just ride Baja trails and roads, he was a true explorer of the Baja backcountry. By moto and by truck he traveled to many out of the way places, made friends with remote rancher families, and sought out the pictographs and rock paintings of the early Baja dwellers, always pushing to see new things and establish new routes.
Roland was a key part of the Los Ancianos’ history, working our early races here in Southern California and making our Tecate 500 Enduros the legend that they remain today. A night around the campfire with Roland was a way to share his adventures. He was a great storyteller, a world traveler, and he could talk about everything from Baja trails to setting up factories in Taiwan, to gem mining in Pala, down to the molecular structure of oil additives and how they effected motorcycle engines.
Roland will be deeply missed by his fellow Ancianos and his family and friends. We were lucky to know him and to ride with him. #clubnews ... Show MoreShow Less
